On a grey and chilly morning the lads turned up at the Theatre of dreams they call Desborough Island, for the much-anticipated 2nd round Charity cup game against rivals Harrodian Cavaliers.
After the pain of last week’s last minute extra time penalty decision against us firmly still causing issues around the changing room there was a need for some light banter. This duly arrived by the one and only Portly who strolled around the changing room in a black thong – it has scarred me for life!!

On a sunny and windy Sunday January morning at Desborough Island the home of the almighty Hersham FC we re-convened the 2008/09 Football league campaign after a lengthy Christmas break which I am surrey Sir Alex Ferguson would have welcomed! The normal pre match activities returned with half the team using the ever over used toilet facilities and the lack of toilet role meant the focus turned onto my (The Gaffers) personal loo role that never got returned!! I would like to make a special mention to firstly the Poole brothers who had matching new bags, which Santa brought them (They still believe in Santa!!) and secondly Portly who had learnt to spell his name over Xmas so decided to Tip-ex it onto his boots!! |
